I can’t think of another boot to take you from the great outdoors to the office. Blundstone’s versatile Chelsea-style boots can do it all. Whether you wear a jumpsuit, denim cut-offs, boot-cut jeans, or high-waisted pants, these boots work with a flowing skirt.
They can take some time to adjust to your foot. This boot is not unlike a traditional cowboy boot. The leather is firm and structured, ensuring a secure fit. But these boots will mold to your feet and provide unmatched comfort once broken in. But unlike a cowboy boot, the elastic sides make them easier to slip on and off.
With this type of boot, having a shoe horn on hand is always good. Some owners report difficulty getting them on and off initially, but a shoe horn will solve this dilemma.
The tricky thing about this boot is the sizing. Blundstones come in Australian sizing, but the tricky part is understanding their sizing. Add three sizes to the Australian size to your US women’s size. For example, a size 6 is a US size 9. The interesting thing here is the half sizes are wide.
For a wide fit, you need to order the 1/2 sizes. For example, a 9.5 will be a 9W, not a 9.5. To be clear, Blundstones are not available in actual half sizes. Blundstone includes extra insoles in the box. I would try with and without the extra insole to see which one feels best.
And to add another layer of complexity, they are unisex. Usually, I recommend something other than unisex shoes, but this brand has figured out a way to make this work. The extra insole allows you to adjust the space inside the shoe cavity.
Blundstone boots may require patience and break-in time, but they will provide unmatched comfort and durability once they mold to your feet. If you like a lot of memory foam cushioning, add it, as these boots don’t offer cloud-like cushioning. You’ll have to study their unique sizing system too, but once you know your size, you’re hooked.
